About Taco Bell

tellthebell

Who said that traditional food could not adapt to the needs of our daily lives? If you start a fast food business, look for recipes of culture and differ. Learn the secrets that made Taco Bell an international franchise listed on the stock exchange.

Ready to know who will we talk about today? Taco Bell is a well-known restaurant chain with more than 6,500 branches, only in the United States of America. It also has other restaurants in more than 20 countries.

An Idea With Flavour At Taco Bell:

Taco Bell was a venture of Glen Bell, a former American military man who – only 23 years old – sought a business where he could invest the money from his retirement.

By the 1940s, the fast food boom was just beginning and, in reality, there was little competition. So Glen Bell decided to set up his little hot dog stand in San Bernardino, California. Its start was small, but a success.

A year later, he seeks to expand his business and decides to sell his small position and acquire a much larger space. In addition, it extends its menu offering also hamburgers.

Although the business was going very well in its beginnings, by modifying its menu, Glen Bell was in trouble. The McDonald’s chain was beginning to move by leaps and bounds, and the sales of its hot dogs and hamburgers began to fall.

In 1967 it already had 100 restaurants around the country and, three years later, Taco Bell would be listed on the stock exchange.

According to Bell’s theories, if successful, it could confuse its competitors by making them believe that the business would only be profitable for the Latino community. Nobody considered him a dangerous competitor when he was (and in what way, right?).
